This stone has five notches on the west side to represent that it is five miles from the west line of the township.
On the east side is one notch to represent one mile from the east township line.
The location in on the 3rd Standard Parallel between Lancaster and Saunders County.



The GLO notes stated that the monument is a Red Sandstone measuring 22"x16"x3".



Resetting the stone in the exact location horizontally after being lowered.
