This Missouri River Commission triangulation station is located southeast of the town of Peru, Nebraska, on private property. The water tower (standpipe) for Peru is approximately 35 yards southwest of the station. In 1947, the U. S. Coast & Geodetic Survey placed a their own bronze disk in concrete is what is believed to be the original Missouri River Commission's iron pipe. There was no mention by USC&GS if they had found the original cap affixed to the pipe. Probing indicates that the original Missouri River Commission's stone is below this bronze disk. Recovered by Gene Thomsen, David Hoffart, and Jerry Penry with assistance from the landowner.
