This bench mark is located along the former Burlington Railroad that once connected to Hot Springs from the west, but is now in a cultivated field. A grass area near a power pole has protected the location. It is approximately 8 miles west of Hot Springs, South Dakota, and north of Highway 18. Recovered by Kurt Luebke and Jerry Penry.
