A nice example of a bronze tablet set on the top of a large boulder. This bench mark is approximately 10 miles northwest of Rapid City, South Dakota, along Nemo Road. The small town of Nemo is approximately 4 miles northwest of the bench mark location. Nearby is another survey marker placed in 1986 to mark the corner location of 9 HES 455. There are several bearing trees in this location. At least one was placed for the USGS bench mark and today remains as a stump. Recovered by Kurt Luebke, Jenny Stukel Penry, and Jerry Penry.
