May 29, 2013
This copper bolt was found on a large rock on the slope of a road. The original roads in this area at the time the bench mark was placed were in the low areas. The bench mark was placed on the slope of the hill or in a rock ledge during the time it was placed. The new road was moved to higher ground and cut into the side of the hill. It is not known if the bench mark is still in the original location. One side of the copper bolt is smashed indicating it has been hit by something. Recovered by Kurt Luebke, Jenny Stukel Penry and Jerry Penry.
