Bench mark "P 1" was established by USC&GS at Norfolk, Nebraska, in October of 1899. The monument was a copper bolt set into the brick face of the Oxnard Hotel. An effort was made on April 25, 2009, to locate this bench mark, but it appears that the hotel no longer exists.
