1913

Primary Traverse Station No. 16(1913) in located in the northwest part of the town of Verdon, Nebraska along the west side of the Union Pacific Railroad and in a cattle feed lot. When the monument was placed in 1913, a road went north from this location and the farm buildings were probably not there. Someone made the effort to save the monument when a concrete pad was poured near a stock tank. Rubbing from cattle and possible damage from other sources has greatly damaged the cap. Recovered by Jerry & Jenny Penry and Gene Thomsen.
