Primary Traverse Station No. 23 (1913) is located on the north edge of the small community of Preston and along the north side of the BNSF Railroad. It is in the West Half of Section 21, T1N, R17E. The monument was originally described as being an iron post with cap. At some time a circular mass of concrete was placed around the top. Recovered by Jerry Penry and Gene Thomsen. This monument was previously recovered on May 20, 2005. On that date there were trees surrounding the area.
